2015 SALAD DAYS Artist of the Year Stuart Gair works on one of the 500 plates he’s creating for next year’s Watershed Center for the Ceramic Arts Festival. Watershed held its annual Salad Days Fundraiser on July 12. Salad Days is the major fundraiser for Watershed’s two week summer residency program. Salad Days Raises $35,000 for Ceramic Arts Center

More than 400 guests attending the 20th annual Salad Days fundraiser at Watershed Center for theCeramic Arts in Newcastle raised approximately $35,000 to benefit community education and on-site artist residency programs.

For the $35 price of admission, attendees were invited to choose one of 500 hand-made ceramic plates to take home. The plates were made by artist-in-residence Jessica Brendl during her 90-day summer residency at Watershed in 2013……read on!
